Finance Operations Executive
Mario A. Marin has over 20 years of experience, both as a business consultant, and as a finance operations executive in several Fortune 500 organizations including Citigroup, NCR, and Hewlett-Packard. He has led global consolidation and standardization of company-wide financial systems. At Citigroup, as Cash Management Unit Head, Mario assisted in the formation of the Product Management Group, which created, developed, and moved non-traditional products to the market. Later on, as NCR Venezuela Corporate Treasurer, Mario was responsible for reorganizing the treasury area to successfully prevent an impending bankruptcy by negotiating the refinancing of $15MM in past-due bank loans, reducing the debt service by 22%, and optimizing the treasury operations. He received an award from employees in recognition of his people skills. At Hewlett-Packard Company, Mario was an IT Project Manager, and later, the U.S. Financial Operations Manager for A/P, A/R, Revenue Recognition, and Cost of Sales. After that, Mario occupied the position of Global Program Manager at Hewlett-Packard Financial Operations. There, Mario directed 10 transition project managers across the globe while being in charge of integrating the enterprise financial systems and processes for Payables, Receivables, and Order Fulfillment into the corporation three global shared services centers at Guadalajara, Mexico; San Jose, Costa Rica; Barcelona, Spain; and Bangalore, India. Mario then was part of the team that started a de novo bank for the immigrant Hispanic community in Atlanta to later on co-found New Market Partners, a FinTech consulting company in the payments area.
Mario has an MBA from Georgia Tech and a BS in Systems Engineering.
Born in San José, Costa Rica and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Mario now resides in Atlanta, GA.
